Cyrille
Bonnard - After gaining two
prizes at Paris Conservatoires, Cyrille decided to carry on his studies
with Steven Mead at the Royal Northern College of Music. With a
postgraduate diploma in his pocket, Cyrille decided to stay in England and
to start a freelance career. For euphonium players, the opportunities to
play in orchestra are rare and Cyrille has therefore adopted a diverse
approach to his music making. Before coming to England, he studied jazz
with Denis Badault, Marc Steckar, François Thuillier and also played with
a French pop band called “Alaf Lamout?”.

Michael
Howley began
playing at the age of 8 with the Gawthorpe ’85 junior band. After a
short time Michael was invited to become the Principal Euphonium of
Rothwell Temperance Band. In just 5 years, Michael and the band had a
meteoric rise from the 4th section to the championship section.
During this time Michael gained a reputation as a very good euphonium
player both in the band and especially as a soloist.
